Supervisor obligations for safety and health in the Western Australian Mining Industry
This program looks at the obligations that supervisors have for safety and health in the Western Australian Mining Industry, under the Mines Safety and Inspection Act.
The program examines hoe supervisor obligations are described in the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and the concepts are developed by looking at a number of cases where supervisors have been prosecuted and convicted for breaches of health and safety legislation.

This program looks at the general obligations that employees have for safety and health, under Australian legislation.
The program examines the key obligations of employees to take reasonable care for their own safety, and to avoid “adversely affecting” the safety and health of another person. These concepts are developed by looking at a number of cases where employees have been prosecuted and convicted for breaches of health and safety legislation.
